SAMPLE PRESENTATION CONTRACT

The following agreement is made by James Williams, who shall be referred to as “Presenter,” and the organization that he is presenting to, which shall be referred to as “Agency.”

I, James Williams, the “Presenter,” agree to give a presentation for autism awareness to said Agency for the purposes of educating people on autism, under the following terms and conditions:

Agency may check my website at www.jamesmw.com for possible presentations that they might want Presenter to give. They may request that Presenter give a specific presentation, and Presenter agrees to give such presentation with the time allotted for the presentation. Agency agrees to notify Presenter of any requests as soon as possible.

Agency reserves the right to request that Presenter bring up or refrain from bringing up a specific subject during my presentation, however, if they have such requests, they must share them to Presenter prior to the presentation.

Agency may videotape the presentation freely and distribute them anywhere they wish in order to help others understand autism. Presenter also agrees to grant interviews to anyone who wishes them.

Agency must notify Presenter of the specific time that they are giving for the presentation, as well as the audience that the presentation is for. Agency must also notify Presenter of the amount of time they are giving for the presentation, as well as the location of the presentation for record keeping purposes.

Agency is not required to have any equipment on hand such as a projector, Internet Connection, or microphone unless Agency requests a presentation that requires such equipment. If Agency requests a presentation that involves skits and/or dramatic acting and desires that actors perform in the skits, Agency assumes responsibility of finding actors for such presentation.

In exchange for the presentation, Agency agrees to provide payment and reimbursement to Presenter under one of the following presentation packages:

Package #1: Agency does not reimburse Presenter for my travel expenses or lodging. In return, the agency agrees to wait until Presenter is already traveling in or near the location of said Agency, which Presenter will notify Agency of at their earliest convenience. Agency must also agree to allow me to sell my books at the event I am presenting at. I also reserve the right to ask for expense reimbursement should any cancellations occur with the other agency that sponsored my trip to the area.

Package #2: Agency agrees to reimburse Presenter for their travel expenses and lodging that I incur when traveling to and from Agencyr location, and Presenter will book such presentation into their schedule provided Presenter has not booked another presentation with another agency. The agency is not required to pay an additional honorarium but must permit Presenter to sell their books at the event.

Package #3: Agency agrees to pay Presenter an honorarium for their presentation but not their travel expenses. Presenter will book presentation into their schedule pursuant to the terms of Package #2. Agency must permit Presenter to sell my books at the event.

Package #4: Agency agrees to reimburse Presenter for their travel expenses and lodging that Presenter incurs when traveling to and from Agency’s location, and pay Presenter an honorarium for their presentation. Presenter will book Agency into their schedule pursuant to the terms of Package #2 and Agency reserves the right to prohibit Presenter from selling books at the event.

If Agency agrees to pay all transportation costs related to the transportation purchased, Presenter agrees to travel using the least expensive mode of transportation and to find the cheapest price to transport Presenter to the city of my presentation and will offer to initially pay for transportation with expectation of reimbursement after Presenter gives their presentation. If Agency chooses to purchase transportation costs on my behalf they are responsible for any additional transportation costs.

If Presenter must stay overnight in the city they are traveling to, Agency agrees to cover any lodging expense. However, Presenter agrees to stay in any lodging offered, and is willing to stay as a guest in a local resident's house to cut costs--Presenter stays as a houseguest in many homes around the U.S. to cut costs down. If Presenter has arranged to stay at a local resident’s house independently, Agency is not required to cover lodging expenses.

Agency is not required to cover my meal expenses as Presenter has multiple food allergies, which raises the cost of meals. However, Presenter has adapted their allergies to virtually every restaurant chain or restaurant in the U.S., therefore, no adaptations are necessary to accomodate allergies.

Presenter reserves the right to include Agency’s presentation as a stop on a speaking tour or a separate trip from their home base of Chicago unless Agency has agreed to pay and book Presenter’s travel.

Agencies are also reminded that since April is Autism Awareness Month, presentations in April are booked far in advance, and Presenter also attends a large number of autism awareness related events and conferences in April.

Agency has read and agreed to the following terms.
